Rank and rent asset management: what the monthly fee covers

A flat monthly fee pays for keeping your sites online, watched and reported on. It does not pay for a ranking, a tenant or an income, and we say so up front.

What does the monthly management fee pay for?

After the build, a rank and rent site still needs someone to keep it running, watch how it performs and deal with the tenant. The monthly fee pays for that ongoing work. It is flat for the portfolio: $299 for Starter, $449 for Growth and $799 for Empire. Private equity portfolios have a custom retainer.

The fee is for work and time. It is not a payment for results, and no part of it promises a ranking, a lease or any income.

What is included each month?

  • Hosting and uptime. We keep the sites hosted and online, renew SSL certificates, take regular backups and fix technical faults.
  • Ranking monitoring. We track where each site appears for its target searches and watch for drops. When something changes, we look for the cause and make reasonable fixes to content, citations or site structure.
  • Call quality review. We review the call logs to see whether calls are real enquiries for the tenant, how long they last and whether anything looks wrong, such as spam or misrouted calls.
  • Tenant support and renewal evidence. We answer the tenant's questions about the calls and put together call-log evidence of the leads delivered, to support renewal conversations.
  • Monthly report. You receive calls, call duration, rankings and net cash flow for each site.

You also have read-only access to call analytics and Search Console, so you can check the numbers yourself. See call tracking for detail.

What is not covered?

Being clear here avoids surprises later. The monthly fee does not cover:

  • Results. No ranking position, number of calls, tenant, lease price or income is promised.
  • Extra sites. New sites, new cities or new niches are separate work, priced in writing before we start.
  • Third-party costs. Domain renewals in your registrar account and any fees charged by outside services are yours to pay.
  • Paid advertising. We do not run or fund paid ads under this fee.
  • Legal, tax and accounting advice. We are not your lawyer or accountant, and lease wording or recording rules need your own advisor.
  • Collecting money for you. We help with tenant questions and evidence, but we cannot compel a tenant to pay.
  • Unusual rebuilds. A full redesign or a change of niche is quoted separately.

Outreach to find a tenant, or a replacement when one leaves, is part of the service with no extra setup fee. It is effort, not a promise. Read how we find and lease tenants and what we do in tenant replacement.

While a site has no tenant, the monthly fee continues and the site earns nothing. That is one of the risks of this model, set out on the model page. This is not financial, legal or investment advice.

Questions about dfy rank and rent in United States

Is the monthly fee the same whether or not a site is leased?

Yes. The fee is a flat monthly amount for the portfolio, and it applies whether a site has a tenant, is between tenants or has never been leased. We do the same management work in each case, so you should plan your costs on that basis and not assume the fee shrinks when income does.

Do you tell me when a site drops in rankings?

Yes. Your monthly report shows rankings, and we flag large changes when we see them. We cannot always say why a site moved, because Google changes can affect results without notice. We look for causes we can fix, and we tell you plainly when a drop is outside our control.

Can I see the call data myself?

Yes. You get read-only access to call analytics and Search Console. Read-only means you can look at calls, durations and search performance but cannot change settings or routing, which protects the tracking from accidental changes. The monthly report summarizes the same data with net cash flow.

Is there a contract that locks me in?

Terms are confirmed on WhatsApp and in writing before you pay anything, including how the monthly fee can be ended. Please read them carefully, and take legal advice if you want it. We would rather explain the terms before you pay than after you have signed.
