How do these worked examples work?

This page does not have sliders. It shows the arithmetic so you can repeat it with your own numbers. The rule used throughout is simple:

Net monthly result = number of leased sites x rent per leased site - monthly management fee

The assumptions below are choices for illustration. Change any of them.

  • Rent per leased site: $750, $1,000 or $1,500 per month.
  • Leased sites: none, about half (rounded down) or all.
  • Fees: the public prices of each package.
  • Left out: the setup fee, taxes and any other costs.

What do the Starter and Growth examples look like?

Starter: 3 sites, $3,499 setup, $299 per month

  • Rent $750. 0 leased: $0 - $299 = -$299. 1 leased: $750 - $299 = $451. 3 leased: $2,250 - $299 = $1,951.
  • Rent $1,000. 0 leased: -$299. 1 leased: $1,000 - $299 = $701. 3 leased: $3,000 - $299 = $2,701.
  • Rent $1,500. 0 leased: -$299. 1 leased: $1,500 - $299 = $1,201. 3 leased: $4,500 - $299 = $4,201.

Growth: 5 sites, $5,499 setup, $449 per month

  • Rent $750. 0 leased: -$449. 2 leased: $1,500 - $449 = $1,051. 5 leased: $3,750 - $449 = $3,301.
  • Rent $1,000. 0 leased: -$449. 2 leased: $2,000 - $449 = $1,551. 5 leased: $5,000 - $449 = $4,551.
  • Rent $1,500. 0 leased: -$449. 2 leased: $3,000 - $449 = $2,551. 5 leased: $7,500 - $449 = $7,051.

What does the Empire example look like, and what if no site is leased?

Empire: 10 sites, $9,999 setup, $799 per month

  • Rent $750. 0 leased: -$799. 5 leased: $3,750 - $799 = $2,951. 10 leased: $7,500 - $799 = $6,701.
  • Rent $1,000. 0 leased: -$799. 5 leased: $5,000 - $799 = $4,201. 10 leased: $10,000 - $799 = $9,201.
  • Rent $1,500. 0 leased: -$799. 5 leased: $7,500 - $799 = $6,701. 10 leased: $15,000 - $799 = $14,201.

The no-tenant case

A site may have no tenant for months. If nothing is leased for the first 12 months, the cash you have paid is the setup fee plus 12 monthly fees:

  • Starter: $3,499 + (12 x $299 = $3,588) = $7,087.
  • Growth: $5,499 + (12 x $449 = $5,388) = $10,887.
  • Empire: $9,999 + (12 x $799 = $9,588) = $19,587.

The break-even idea: divide the monthly fee by the rent per leased site, then round up to a whole site. This covers the management fee only, not the setup fee.

  • Starter, $299: at $750 rent, 0.40 so 1 site. At $1,000, 0.30 so 1. At $1,500, 0.20 so 1.
  • Growth, $449: at $750 rent, 0.60 so 1 site. At $1,000, 0.45 so 1. At $1,500, 0.30 so 1.
  • Empire, $799: at $750 rent, 1.07 so 2 sites. At $1,000, 0.80 so 1. At $1,500, 0.53 so 1.

Rent changes the answer. At $250 rent per leased site, Starter needs 2 sites (299 / 250 = 1.2), Growth needs 2 (449 / 250 = 1.8) and Empire needs 4 (799 / 250 = 3.2).

What do these numbers not tell you?

These are arithmetic examples. They are not forecasts, not typical results and not advice. We chose the rent figures to keep the sums clear, not because they are expected. Where a site is leased, our target asking range is $750 to $2,500 per month per site, which is an asking price and not an expectation, and a tenant may negotiate, pay late or cancel, and a site may never be leased.

Substitute your own numbers for rent, leased sites and any extra costs. To walk through your own figures, message us on WhatsApp. This is not financial, legal or investment advice, and a portfolio is not a security or a regulated investment.

Questions about dfy rank and rent in United States

Are these numbers what I will earn?

No. They show how the sums work if a certain number of sites were leased at a certain rent. Sites can take months to rank, some rank slowly or not at all, and some are never leased. You can lose the money you pay. There is no income promise anywhere on this site.

Why do the examples use rents of $750, $1,000 and $1,500?

They are round figures chosen to make the arithmetic easy to follow. They are not an estimate of what any site will earn. Change them to a lower rent and the net results fall, as the break-even section shows. Use a rent you consider realistic for your own planning.

What is left out of the net monthly result?

The setup fee, taxes and any other costs you carry. It also ignores months when a tenant is late or has left and the site earns nothing. If you want those effects included, subtract them yourself from the result, or ask us to talk through the example.

How do I check my own numbers?

Message us on WhatsApp with the package you are considering, the rent you want to test and how many sites you assume are leased. We will go through the arithmetic with you and explain what the fee covers. There is no obligation.
